PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF SERVICE CAREFULLY BEFORE USING EXPENSIA.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Expensia (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and DATA & AI SOLUTIONS (SMC-PRIVATE) LIMITED ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use this App. By using Expensia, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the App on behalf of a business entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
3. Description of Service
Expensia is an offline-first expense tracking application that allows users to record, categorise, and analyse financial transactions including expenses, income, payables, and receivables. The App offers both free and paid subscription tiers with varying feature access.
4. Account Registration
You must create an account to use most features of the App. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@expensia.dataisol.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.
5. Subscription Plans and Payments
Expensia offers Free, Basic, and Pro subscription tiers. Features available under each tier are described within the App and on our website.
Paid subscriptions are billed on a monthly or annual basis as selected at the time of purchase. All fees are in United States Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated.
Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or as expressly stated in our Refund Policy. We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice. If payment fails, we may suspend or downgrade your account to the free tier.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the App for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App or its infrastructure
- Upload, transmit, or distribute malicious code, viruses, or harmful software
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the App
- Scrape, mine, or harvest data from the App without our express written permission
- Use the App to process or store data on behalf of third parties as a data processing service without our written consent
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App or its servers
7. Intellectual Property
The App, including all content, features, functionality, trademarks, service marks, logos, and software, is owned by DATA & AI SOLUTIONS (SMC-PRIVATE) LIMITED and is protected by intellectual property laws worldwide.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App solely for your personal or internal business expense tracking purposes, subject to these Terms.
You retain ownership of all financial data you input into the App. By using the App, you grant us a limited licence to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the service.
8. AI Features and Limitations
Expensia includes AI-powered features for receipt scanning, voice entry, and financial insights. These features are provided "as-is" and may not always produce accurate results.
AI-generated outputs are suggestions only. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-parsed data before saving. AI features are subject to usage quotas based on your subscription tier. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated financial categorisations or insights.
9. Data Storage and Sync
Your data is stored locally on your device by default. Cloud sync features are available on paid tiers and require an active internet connection. You are responsible for maintaining backups of your important financial data. We are not responsible for data loss due to device failure, software errors, or account termination.
10. Privacy
Your use of the App is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
11. Third-Party Services
The App may integrate with or link to third-party services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party services. Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms and policies.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless DATA & AI SOLUTIONS (SMC-PRIVATE) LIMITED and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the App; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) any content you submit through the App.
15. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@expensia.dataisol.com.
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice, effective immediately. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Lahore, Pakistan, under applicable arbitration rules.
For users in the European Union: Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under EU law. EU users may also access dispute resolution through the European Online Dispute Resolution platform.
17. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, by in-app notification. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
18. Export Compliance
You agree to comply with all applicable export and re-export control laws and regulations. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
19. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations under these Terms due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government actions, internet outages, or power failures.
20. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
21. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and DATA & AI SOLUTIONS (SMC-PRIVATE) LIMITED regarding your use of the App and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
